چکیده
The High-Acceptance DiElectron Spectrometer (HADES) at GSI Darmstadt consists of a 6-coil toroidal magnet centered on the beam axis and six identical detection sections located between coils covering polar angles 18° 85°. physics aims include study properties hot dense hadronic matter as well elementary pion-induced reactions. To increase acceptance HADES very low in forward region, 0.5∘ 7°, new detector, Forward Detector (FD), has been built. FD is composed tracking Time Of Flight (TOF) detector based Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC) technology. TOF an area around 2 m2, by 128 strip-like shielded RPC cells, with two different widths 22mm 44mm 750mm length distributed four modules symmetrically placed axis. Each cell gas gaps, 0.270mm, delimited three (2mm) aluminum (1mm) glass electrodes. In order to cope expected maximum particle load 400 Hz/cm2, close axis, operated above room temperature decrease resistivity count rate capability. Details system construction results concerning timing precision are described this communication. was 31.5 °C 600 Hz/cm2 during production time for weeks early 2022 showing average 80 ps.

The New HADES Data Acquisition Network
In the framework of the current upgrade of the HADES DAQ and Trigger System the complete data acquisition network and read-out scheme has been redesigned. As described in [1], the hardware is based on front end boards equipped with FPGAs and optical transceivers. In total, the complete network will contain over 530 FPGAs and about the same number of optical transceivers. On this optical network...
متن کاملJ-PET analysis framework for the prototype TOF-PET detector
Novel time-of-flight positron emission tomography (TOF-PET) scanner solutions demand, apart from the state-of-the-art detectors, software for fast processing of the gathered data, monitoring of the whole scanner, and reconstruction of the PET image. In this article, we present an analysis framework for the novel STRIP-PET scanner developed by the J-PET collaboration in the Institute of Physics ...
متن کاملTOF-PET detector concept based on organic scintillators
In this contribution we present a new concept of the large acceptance detector systems based on organic scintillators which may allow for simultaneous diagnostic of large fraction of the human body. Novelty of the concept lies in employing large blocks of polymer scintillators instead of crystals as detectors of annihilation quanta, and in using predominantly the timing of signals instead of th...
متن کاملThe Status of the CMS Forward Pixel Detector
The silicon pixel detector is the innermost component of the CMS tracking system. It provides precise measurements of space points to allow effective pattern recognition in multiple track environments near the LHC interaction point. The end disks of the pixel detector, known as the Forward Pixel detector, are constructed mainly by the US-CMS collaborators. The design techniques, readout electro...
